Does Bundle Transformer work in Load Balance servers?

May 12, 2015 at 2:17 PM
I am just wondering if load balance servers work well with Bundle transformer.
I suppose so, as the bundle files generated does not actually exist in the file system.
Am I right?
Is there something to be done in the server config?

Hello, Kleber!

Bundle Transformer is primarily extension of the Microsoft ASP.NET Web Optimization Framework, which is only responsible for transformation of bundles. Microsoft ASP.NET Web Optimization Framework stores a code of processed bundles in memory of web server. This framework also has other problems when working in a web farms or clusters (for example, “Bundling behind cluster of cache servers” work item).

If you want to store the result of optimizations in file system, then I recommend you to switch to Grunt or Gulp (Microsoft recommends the same thing). I collected useful materials, that will facilitate this switching.
