Less.js plugins?

Is it possible to write plugins using the less.js model:

and use them with the less transformer? How would you configure this?

BundleTransformer.Less does not support plugins and sourcemaps. I cannot say that it is impossible, but it is very difficult and expensive to implement, because most of the less.js-plugins uses native APIs of Node.js.

In BundleTransformer.Less factually “emulated” the work of these APIs (calls of some APIs have been removed). Actually, even adding support for new versions of LESS it is very difficult work.

Because plugins and sourcemaps it is advanced usage of LESS, then I recommend you to switch to Grunt or Gulp. Now there are a lot of information on this theme:
